Katie Scarlet arrives in the maternity ward..........
Opal and Katie Scarlet will be transferred to our ward as a precaution. We don't really want her to have her first swimming lesson to be a disaster. Opal, very hormonal is doing an excellent job taking care of Kat who is a very valuable young lady.
Genvieve multi tasks to help out..........

New Residents, Miss Geraldine and Genvieve....
February is a very busy month with first time mums. Our residents are Miss Geraldine
with Harry and Genvieve and Lawrence, in the meantime both ladies are waiting for Miss Angelica and her little charge. unfortunately labour in the middle of the day is proving stressful for Ange. Geraldine and Harry have settled in well and Genvieve
will move in after recovering from calf birth. We are patiently waiting for the
latest instalment, hoping it won’t be too traumatic.

"Out and about the maternity ward".
Sir Charles & Mr. Edward (affectionately known as Eddie) surprised everyone with their arrival a couple of days ago. Mum has been agitated of late and brought over to our maternity ward to await the imminent arrival. The lads arrived under the light of the full moon. Unfortunately the supply of colostrum was limited, the next morning, mum had to be milked and lads received much needed refreshments however little Eddie is still struggling...
Day 2 and Eddie is not fairing the best.. The weather is also a problem for the lads as mum wants them in the blistering heat well away from the cool shade. That will not suffice for their survival, as a consequence Eddie has been placed in intensive care.. The decision has been made, Charles will remain with mum and supplemented with additional nutrition from other means. Research indicates Goats Milk is an excellent alternative if available and in this case it is. Charles a guts downs 500ml of fresh Goats Milk while Eddie will need smaller amounts at regular intervals he is also being cared for away from Charles for the time being to ensure he starts thriving.

Not Out of the Woods on Day 5, However
a remarkable turnaround from Eddie has given one hope the little guy with the
big heart continues to fight on. Charles
now trotting after mum looking for milk goes from strength to strength.
Little Eddie Says "Bye Bye" :( Little Eddie never really stood a chance however his short stay on earth educated our dedicated team in the intensive care ward. So many times Eddie came back from the brink; unfortunately he took his last breath at 10.00pm last night.
